Wendy Thomas joined Leadership Tulsa as Executive Director in January 2002 after serving as the Executive Director of the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa and leading the campaign to restore the Harwelden Mansion.
She is a founder and past president of Clarehouse, a hospice home, and a current board member of Living Arts of Tulsa, the Brady Craft Alliance and Kendall Whittier Main Street. She is also an advisory member to the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture. In 2011 she was honored as one of the Tulsa Business Journal's "Women of Distinction" and also received the Typros "Boomtown" award for her role mentoring young professionals.
A graduate of the University of Tulsa, she also holds a Master's degree in Arts Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. For 10 years she served as a professor in the Arts Administration program at the University of Tulsa.
